Samuel Knopf: Business traveller from London, UK who did 4 weekend getaways over 1 month work trip to India.
An amazing travel agent, perfect for the busy business traveller who wants a carefree organisation yet still wants to discover special places. Seek & Hide found me stunning places during my one month business trip in India. I had one week of holiday in India before the start of my work and they found me a beautiful beach resort with a detox wellness package, exactly what I wanted. They organised me a tour in Bangalore with an excellent tour guide giving me the history of the city and again perfectly organised with driver and food. Then on another weekend they found a stunning hillside retreat in a place which I definitely would not have found on my own . And finally, a quick party weekend.
The interesting thing was, that whenever I came to these places, other guests asked me "how do you know about this place" as if it was some secret. And that seems to be the special thing about seek & hide, they manage to find these special spots through their network and then organise everything to perfection to get you to it.
Their communication was very good, when I forgot to send them something because of my schedule they reminded me politely and enough ahead of time without making it an issue. They always offered me choices. I can't really find anything negative about them apart maybe that I couldn't use a credit card (options are Paypal or bank payment) but that wasn't an issue for me.
So overall an excellent experience with them. If you want to be stunned and see jaw droppingly beautiful places when visiting India then go with seek & hide.
Damien Gautier and Mrs Gautier, Singapore: Kerala holiday covering the hills and backwaters after an India business trip.
My wife and myself travelled to Kerala in December 2015. SEEK & HIDE was introduced by an friend who recommended their services that he is using for his own holidays. All trip organization was handled from arrival in India to departure very smoothly by SEEK & HIDE which has been very efficient as well as looking at all details to make our holidays a wonderful memory.
I would highly recommend their services for travelers looking at peace of mind and tailor made travel in INDIA.
Shai Shahal and Guy Swersky, Israel: Kerala holiday post India business travel
The three things we liked about our Kerala holiday - Easy to book, easily available on WhatsApp and Kerala is a beautiful place.
Anitha Sriram and family: Andaman Islands holiday to help their son explore water sports.
Seek & Hide gave us an unforgettable holiday experience by suggesting Andamans to us. Right from enquiry to booking, the entire flow was very professional. The personal connect that Seek & Hide gives is unmatched, and is often the difference between a good holiday and a great one!! Thanks to all at Seek&Hide.
Christian Schneeberger, Switzerland: Kerala tour exploring the cuisine and varying landscape of the state
Paradisa Plantation Retreat, Thekkady
After arriving directly from Europe, Paradisa Plantation Retreat indeed feels like a remote paradise. Situated in a coffee plantation on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding mountains, the only sounds one usually hears are crickets and the birds in the trees. The different huts are placed perfectly in the landscape so that each has lots of privacy and solitude. The food is simply amazing: Skillfully prepared with fresh ingredients, very tasty and presented beautifully. The staff and management are very attentive and helpful. Even cooking classes and a private visit to a tea plantation were organized. But nothing beats watching the stars at night from your private veranda in almost complete silence.
Coconut Lagoon, Kumarakom
The only way to arrive at Coconut Lagoon is by boat. And this allows yourself to slow down and pace yourself for the relaxation and pampering that awaits you. Upon your arrival, you are greeted with a fresh towel, a musician playing the flute for you and fresh coconut water. The Heritage Mansions are beautiful two story houses that provide every comfort you can imagine. The well kept property is full of small canals and there are numerous birds and flowers. Even if you plan on just relaxing, don't miss the guided walks and other activities as they provide a wealth of information and are lead by very knowledgeable staff. The food is also amazing, the dinner buffet in particular doesn't leave out anything you could possibly desire.
Zal Dabhoiwala & Dilshad Marolia, USA: 10 day Kerala exploration tour with child friendly outdoor activities
We were fortunate to to stay and relax for a couple of days at The Bungalow in Fort Kochi. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Neema and her family. Their home is beautifully kept and our room, the São Gabriel, was clean and spacious, perfectly appointed for a family with a young child and too much luggage.
Our trip through South India included one night on a houseboat. This was an extraordinary experience and one of the highlights of our trip. Our crew was quite lovely throughout the trip and looked after us very well. All in all an experience we highly recommend.
Thanks again for all your work on making this such a memorable trip for us.
Manvitha Singamsetty, Canada: Stayed at Philipkuttys Farm, Kerala
I know I am rather late in responding to your request for feedback and quite uncharmingly late in thanking you for the wonderful trip we had, but please know this comes from the heart. Thank you so very much for giving Amrita and me a truly unforgettable and redeeming holiday. We were both really looking forward to this trip and I think the week we spent in Kerala was really the highlight of our past year.
Thank you so much for discovering and suggesting PK farm to us! Without your website we wouldn't have been able to know of PK farm and enjoy the absolute serenity and beauty of the farm and the family which runs it. Anu and her mum are so caring and really hospitable. PK farm was certainly worth all the effort of the many months it took us to finalize and book the place. Without a doubt, I will suggest this to my friends who plan to travel to Kerala. Amrita, I believe, has already done this! As you can tell, we absolutely loved the farm.
Now I can't wait to visit the other locations on your website. (Vaamika island is still on mind! I think for luxury of a different kind, it might prove to be a good vacation spot.)
Dr.Belliappa Ayyappa, Bangalore: Kerala holiday through Kochi, Alleppey, Munnar and Kovalam
We did a road trip through Kerala. The tour operator was seek&hide. We were picked up promptly by the driver from Kochi airport. We stayed at an amazing hotel in Fort Kochi, a salubrious resort at Munnar, a back water old kerala house at Alleppey and a swanky hotel on the beach at Trivandrum. The accomodation and transport was fantastic and support by the tour operator was impeccable including getting a refund for one night as we could not stay there for more than one night as we were visiting friends. The places selected were great and a typical actual good old home stay approach. All in all, a great trip. Strongly recommend the tour operator seek&hide.
Rishi Piparaiya, Director, Aviva Insurance: Stayed at Vaamika Island, Kerala
Look, you may not really enjoy the Vaamika experience if you:
- Enjoy brushing shoulders with crowds; the experience of living on a gorgeous private island and sharing it with virtually no one can be quite disturbing
- Like the city life; the tallest building on the island is one of the massage rooms, atop a tower that soars a whopping twenty feet into the skies
- Are a hair shampoo model; zipping on and off the island on a choice of motor boats and traditional vessels can lead to bad hair days
- Relish the tangy salty taste of preservatives in your food; absolutely everything is cooked from scratch, with the freshest of ingredients, most of which are grown at Vaamika itself
- Are seeking a thrilling game of pool volleyball; it can get really hard to convince other guests, even if you encounter any, to come share your private pool – especially since they all have their own.
- Have gotten used to surly service staff or pasted smiles; genuine, eager to please, normal people only at Vaamika
- Art is the Louvre, Prado, or nothing else; Vaamika boasts just one quaint museum with a stunning “one wall is the water” design.
- Are not into Indian automobiles; all transportation on the mainland is on a spanking new Tata Land Rover
But if you can let go of some of the above fixations, I would highly recommend a few days at this enchanting resort, just thirty minutes from mainland Kochi. Luxurious accommodation with garden showers and private pools, 360 degree views of the Kerala backwaters, the most exquisite cuisine, served anywhere that you wish on the island, long private boat rides, your own private spa, the list goes on and on. And with the effervescent Sudha Mathew and the Seek and Hide team, planning every detail and negotiating the most unbelievable deals, you really can’t ask for anything more.
Rajiv Sethi, Chairman, Gemini Group of Companies: Kerala family holiday in the backwaters
Wanted a quiet and super exclusive family getaway and was recommended to s&h. Absolutely overwhelmed by the quality and speed of response. Cannot plan another holiday without s&h's inputs. Highly recommended.
Nandini Sankar, COO and President India, GlobeOp Financial Services: Tailor made holiday in Alibaug
Sudha and her team represent a unique niche in the Indian travel industry. As you go through their curated list of available properties it is clear all of them share some key characteristics. They are boutique style resorts or villas that have taken special care in ensuring that their customers get to experience a slice of India in surroundings that emphasize the environment and its beauty, peace, relaxation and yes luxury as well!
Starting from this impressive list and finally selecting a property was a pleasurable experience as well. Sudha took time to understand our needs in great detail, and filtered it down to 3-4 properties that fit them best. She not only accounted for room rates and meals in the expenses, she also took care to ensure that travelling to the destination was included in the overall budget as well. She was patient and understanding as our needs, dates and number of people changed multiple times and kept refining the list determined to find us the right option!
We spent an idyllic extended weekend at the mango beach resort in Alibag. Sudha had chosen the perfect place for an extended family with children – an hour away from Mumbai, home cooked food and privacy! She hit all the high notes. Seek and hide will be my go to company to go to for all my holidays in India!
Nancy Vaddi, Senior Manager - Marketing, ING Life Insurance: Stayed at Woodrose in Coorg
My best ever Coorg getaway ..in short is what I would say about my stay at Woodrose. I was always skeptical about Coorg homestays with bad experiences of musty rooms, poor service, no greenery, bad food. So I relied on Seekandhide cos I know that they stay at every property before they recommend it. Woodrose lived up to everything I had read and more, from the minute I reached there. Sumanth and Vasanti are amazing hosts and welcome you into their lovely abode. Delicious food, adorable doggies, free flowing conversations, amazing landscapes make for a great getaway that you will keep reflecting on forever. No luxury spa/resort (you can find many of them in Coorg) will give you this intimate and personal getaway. Everything at Woodrose is thought through for you. It's a must visit and you will keep going back. I for sure am.
P.S: What I loved most is how they were OK to have my well behaved doggie along and still enquire about her.
