Onam Sadhya

By Sudha Mathew

There are many elements to Onam, the favorite festival of Kerala but the one we love above all is the elaborate vegetarian feast on a banana leaf. This is called Onam Sadya and is a cornucopia of the best food harvested from the land.

We have compiled a quick list of restaurants for you to experience the traditional ela sadya (sadhya on a leaf) in your city. Quick tip: Google them, get the number and re-check the dates/time and reservation policy. We’d be happy to hear about more restaurants serving Onam sadhya in your city.

And if you want to read more about Kerala cuisine, here’s an old post on Kerala food.
