5 Romantic Things To Do in Andamans this Winter Vacation

Andaman and Nicobar Island, a snug little archipelago tucked away in the heart of the Bay of Bengal, is one of the most secluded and picturesque group of islands to be found today. The considerable distance from mainland India, and its abundant natural splendour makes it a nature lover’s dream getaway. However, the seclusion does not imply any inherent backwardness or disadvantage of any sort. Andaman is one of the foremost tourist spots of the twenty first century, and being so it is equipped with the best and most luxurious travel and stay facilities. It is the perfect blend of modern day comfort and opulence with Mother Nature’s true essence and beauty.

Due to this unique nature of the place, it has acquired the reputation of being one of the most romantic travel destinations. And this reputation is a well deserved one. While there are many romantic things to do in Andamans, here’s our top 5 list.

5 romantic things to do on an Andamans islands holiday:

  • Visit Havelock Island- Havelock Island is the most preferred and visited isle among all the other destinations in Andaman islands.  Its incomparable scenic beauty and unhurried ambience has made it especially popular among couples. Havelock holds some of the best beaches in Asia, like – Radhanagar beach, Elephant beach, Kalapathar Beach. Further, eco-friendly luxury resorts like Barefoot and others add to its unique rhythm and whole unhurried, relaxed experience. A truly romantic, hassle-free luxury experience – just you, your beloved and the stunning views.

  • Go diving – Andaman’s beauty is not just skin deep, for the world dwelling underneath the pristine waters is a surreal spectacle. The cerulean stretches surrounding the Islands holds within them an undersea scenic treasure trove of marine life. The dive spots are gaining a rather large following these days as people from all over the world are coming to simply explore the waters of the destination. Diving into the azure depths of Andaman together with one’s better half, and exploring the marine richness within, in a completely intrusion free, private space, is probably one of the most unique and intimate experiences one can have in their lifetime.

  • Stopover at Neil Island – Havelock Island, with all its splendour has gathered quite a big fan following today. Therefore, no matter what the season, there is usually a substantial tourist activity in Havelock. But, if one wants to explore a destination equally beautiful but more secluded, Neil Island is the place for them. Neil Island appears as a private beach in a parallel universe, thanks to its completely relaxed and secluded ambience. It also has the option of hiring bikes for riding through the countryside, which is an excellent way to reconnect with nature and yourself.

  • Trekking trip – Andaman and Nicobar Islands has excellent trekking trails, ideal for a couple’s activity.  The usual trails include the rocky land stretches. These include the distance from Mount Harriet to Madhuban. This trail packs in the best of both – the flora and fauna endemic to the region, and the gorgeous, picture postcard perfect landscapes.
  • End the treks with overnight camping – This is the ultimate treat for nature lovers and/or couples. This is the one option where a visitor can truly become one with nature, as they spend their nights on the beach with their beloved, listening to the murmur of the waves and gazing at the canopy of stars.

Andaman offers the ultimate intrusion free, soothing atmosphere for both new and old lovers to forget the world around and reconnect with each other. Whether one is a sports buff, a nature lover and/or both, this destination has something for all.
